Night Market 2026 Participant Waiver

I acknowledge the following and want to participate in TASC Night Market at the Bardeen Quad on Saturday, October 10th, 2026, from 6-9 PM.

1. The Taiwanese American Students Club (TASC is not responsible for food poisoning experienced on the day of the event. All food served to participants has been properly stored and fully cooked before and reheated during the event.

2. TASC is not responsible for allergic reactions during the event. Participants are responsible for avoiding food items that may aggravate allergic reactions. Participants can ask the booth leaders what allergens each food booth may contain. A list of common food allergies will also be provided at the booth.

3. TASC's number one priority for this event is the health and safety of all participants. We ask that people attending the event, whether as a volunteer, performer, or participant, be mindful of others and practice proper safety habits.

4. TASC expects the following duty of self-monitoring from participants and is not responsible for the liabilities or assumptions of risk listed below.

1. DUTY TO SELF-MONITOR

1. Participants and volunteers agree to self-monitor for sickness symptoms (such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath) and refrain from attending the event if experiencing any.

2. LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS

1. I acknowledge that I am willingly engaging in the activities at Night Market.

3. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

1. I acknowledge and understand the following:

1. Risks associated with contracting illnesses and infectious diseases

2. Touching or turning on burners is strictly prohibited, and only TASC Board Members are authorized to ignite them. Touching other materials at any booth is also prohibited.

3. The risk of any injury, harm, or loss resulting from negligence or misconduct by others, excluding our organization, associated with the event.
   

4. I understand I may be held financially liable for any lost, damaged, or stolen property.
